Conveyance

Conveyance or transport of our casket/coffin is by our Litter System. This system is made up of two staves, two litter bars, and two canvas straps. The strapping is "woven" through the litter bars, and then are slid through containment slots in the case sides. The staves are slid through the loops in the straps. When the staves are lifted up to carry the case, the litter bars are engaged and will not slide. When a narrow grave is present, the litter bars can be removed and placed atop the casket. The position of the litter bars to the staves allow for eight pall bearers . The stave position on the angled coffin is parallel to the center line of the case. This allows the line of pall bearers to be parallel to one another for a straight forward procession.
